About Me

Hi, I’m Billy — a photographer with a passion for visual storytelling. I focus on capturing candid emotion, atmosphere, and timeless detail, using film-inspired tones and a clean, natural style.

Right now, I’m balancing photography alongside my full-time job in education. I’m not a full-time freelancer (yet), but I’m actively learning, experimenting, and figuring out how to make this part of my life grow in a meaningful way.

When I’m not working in education, you can find me exploring my local area, usually the Peak District or wandering through Cannock Chase with my camera in hand and Golden Retriever in tow.

Why I Built This Site

This site is my way of documenting the journey — as it’s happening.

I’m not looking back from a place of success; I’m sharing everything in real time. From the projects I take on and the personal work I create, to the behind-the-scenes challenges, creative decisions, and lessons I’m learning along the way.

When I first picked up a camera, I wanted to see people like me — creatives working regular jobs, figuring things out as they go, making mistakes, learning fast, and building something honest. So that’s what I’m trying to do here.
